McDonald's: Godzilla x Hello Kitty and Friends Happy Meal Collaboration

McDonald's in the US has announced a new "Godzilla x Hello Kitty and Friends" Happy Meal collaboration.
With the theme "Cute Meets Kaiju,"
popular characters from Sanrio
and monsters from Toho's "Godzilla" series merge.
The official teaser video shows a Happy Meal box floating on the ocean surface, and in the next moment, a giant Hello Kitty wearing Godzilla-inspired headgear emerges from the sea.

Hello Kitty x Godzilla, Kuromi x Mechagodzilla, Chococat x SpaceGodzilla, Bad Badtz-Maru x Rodan, My Melody x Mothra, Keroppi x King Ghidorah, Cinnamoroll x Destoroyah,
and Pompompurin x Gigan will appear.
While maintaining the original silhouettes of the Sanrio characters, each monster's distinctive appearance is cleverly incorporated.

This limited-time, limited-quantity collaboration will be available at participating McDonald's locations across the US starting August 18, 2026. Fans of Sanrio and Toho kaiju will find this to be a precious dream collaboration.
